Hopeful Holidays

So after a few days of sunburn, food and family, I’m back to redrafting Messenger. In true Aussie style, I spent Christmas at the beach, and it was the top up I needed. Like so many other people, 2016 has left me bruised following tragedies, ugliness and the shredding of the veil hiding the poisonous toad that is the global alt-right.

But I’m not wallowing. I’m working hard so that 2017 is the year when my writing speaks my truths about equality. 2017 has to be about pushing back against hate, xenophobia, greed, homophobia, misogyny, racism and lies. I know I’m not alone in this project. There are so many incredible people taking action right now. Through my writing, I’m going to add my voice and bellow as loudly as I can.

Bring on 2017.
